Privacy Policy

The short version

Scan Sign Send does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Everything you scan, type, and sign stays on your device, unless you choose to include it in your phone's own backup. We have no servers and no accounts.

What we access (and why)

Camera — to scan paper documents. Images are captured and processed only on your device.
Photos / files — only the images or PDFs you explicitly choose to import. They stay on your device.
Face ID / fingerprint — optional, used only to unlock the app locally. We never receive your biometric data; it is handled entirely by your device's operating system.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting that leaves the device, and no network calls for your document data.

Purchases

The one-time "Full Access" purchase is processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment information. Purchase validation is handled by the platform's in-app purchase system.

The free version includes 2 finished documents. To keep that allowance from resetting when the app is reinstalled, the app stores one number — how many free documents have been used — in your device's secure storage (the iOS Keychain, or Google Play services Block Store on Android). It contains nothing about you or your documents, stays on your device, and is never sent to us.

Data storage & deletion

Your documents, signatures, and profile details are stored in a private database on your device. Deleting a document inside the app removes its stored pages and exported PDFs from your device's storage, not just its entry in the list. Deleting the app removes everything. We cannot access or recover any of it because we never receive it.

Device backup (off unless you turn it on)

By default, the app keeps your documents out of your phone's backup:

iPhone: excluded from iCloud Backup.
Android: excluded from Google backup and from device-to-device transfer.

Your documents are never copied off the device unless you switch on Settings → Include in device backup. If you do, your documents, signatures and profile become part of your phone's own backup:

iPhone: your iCloud Backup, stored and encrypted by Apple under your Apple Account.
Android: your Google backup, only when that backup is end-to-end encrypted with your screen lock, plus transfers to a new phone.

That backup belongs to your Apple or Google account. We never receive it and cannot access it. Switching the setting off removes the app's data from subsequent backups.

On-device protections

App lock — optional Face ID / fingerprint lock. When enabled, the lock re-engages every time the app leaves the foreground, not only at launch.
App switcher — the app's contents are blurred in the iOS app switcher. On Android, enabling the app lock also blocks screenshots and screen recording.

Network access

The app makes no network calls with your document data. The Android build does declare internet access, because Google Play Billing and the bundled Google ML Kit components require it; neither transmits the contents of your documents.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the Privacy Policy URL listed in the app stores.
